IN DEPTH:
The Four of Cups shows a young woman sitting at a bar, she’s drinking a cocktail and gazing off into space. It’s her favorite bar, other patrons always seem to be having remarkably intelligent or interesting conversations. She enjoys the retro cocktails, and decor. The bar is decorated with blurry posters depicting scenes of youth lead revolts. Something about this place is evocative of a secret social club. She enjoys getting lost in imagining scenarios related to this imagined community.
Her arms crossed, her mind tangled deep in thoughts. She is so immersed in her interior world she doesn’t notice the bartender who is in the midst of pouring her a fresh drink. “It’s on the house!” A further three cups have been poured, but again, she doesn’t seem to notice or care about these new and inviting situations that is unfolding around her.
