They get paid to do this. Our Six of Pentacles shows a contortionist and an interpretive dancer working on their ongoing collaboration. A few years ago, people thought this was crazy, now their performances are critically acclaimed.
Everyday they show up to this studio, and live a dream. They become shapes within other shapes. they have been working together for ages. It’s amazing feeling this supported.They have struck an ideal balance in their collaboration, of hard work, care, trust and a belief in one another. They built another up, and now they live a financially secure and accidentally elite. Many of these ideal conditions for artistic experimentation have been paid for by public and private grants.
This is a card of dynamic balance, it encourages releasing oneself to the ebb and flow of life. We must find an equal ease in both giving and taking. The Six of Pentacles asks ‘what it would be like if you allow your self to be lifted up by others and endeavor to return that favor in perpetuity. If you want to be celebrated, learn to celebrate others.
