“The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.”
KEEP SCROLLING DOWN FOR SHORT & LONG EXPLAINATION

IN SHORT:
UPRIGHT: Illusion, fear, anxiety, subconscious, intuition. Hauntings & Anxiety. An active Subconscious mind. Prone to confirmation bias. The gift and curse of visions.
REVERSED: Release of fear, repressed emotion, inner confusion. Feeling possessed. Out of control or uncontrollable. Being taken over by repressed emotions. Fight or flight response. Inner conflicts.
IN DEPTH:
The Moon card shows an eclipsed moon shinning down on a dimly lit scene. In the foreground, a little black cat hisses at a possible threat in the shadows—she cannot see it, but she can feel it’s there. Unafraid, she whips her head around to confront what might be lurking. This kitty will not be intimidated she was born in these streets. She too is among the secret hunters of the night.
Behind her, a small warehouse, with an anarchist flag peering down on two puddled pathways, indicates the different paths that the moonlight might direct you towards. The flag itself, might indicate a number of scenarios; that this factory has been occupied by the radical wing of a young rank-and-file, or maybe the derelict industrial space has been squatted, or perhaps some punk teenagers erected the flag just for the sake of messing with their reactionary neighbors. In each scenario, someone has been compelled by the impulses of rebellion and righteous disregard for the rule of law.
In the shadows of night one can be led a stray by all sorts of spirits, emotions, premonitions, passions, inspired plots, and the intrigue of obscurant social sects. The moon is moody, and emits the air of secrets and mystery. Seeing in the dark can be a kind of super power, but for those gifted with the vision, it can also drive you mad. What the moon offers is a kind of second sight, a cold luminosity that blurs the difference between paranoid distrust and discernment.
Nights like this, one can see just enough to question what exactly it is that one sees, and be convinced that—in these shadows—there is far more that what meets the eye.
